Rysnc using a lot of resources

I've a version of rysnc showing up as an intensive resource for the past few days, i'm not 100% this is a valid process as i've not intitated rysnc at any stage.

Is it possible this is being abused by someone, or is it possible this is a WHM process?

rsync is used by the cpanel automated backups. If you have an rsync process that is bogging down your server and has been that way for more than an hour, then something probably went wrong with the backup. I'd kill the rsync process, but bear in mind that the account it is backing up will fail.
