Script for adding email users to a domain?

I was wondering if cpanel uses a script to add email users to a domain?

The reason I ask is because I am looking to design a module for our billing software so users could purchase email accounts on certain domains. I have an API that can connect via ssh and execute a script with the necessary variables to add the user.

Is this possible?

Does this script check to make sure you have no dupes? I had to use a MySQL DB with all the usernames in it and when someone requested an account it would check the DB before it passed the URL string

Yes it actually does!!! Check your add demo, if the function returns the string 'ERROR' it means you tried to enter a duplicate address.

It is for adding e-mail accounts but you can modify it to add users if you have the whm access key. (you can also use it via *nix through another script)
