/scripts/fixnamed does not exist

Hi,

I'm having problems with the DNS, so I was suggested to run fixnamed.

However, when I try, it says:

root@server1 [~]# /scripts/fixnamed
-bash: /scripts/fixnamed: No such file or directory
root@server1 [~]#

Is there a way I can get this script, I need to run it.

You can use /scripts/fixndc -fv or /scripts/fixrndc -fv to check the problems
with named.

Also check the /var/log/messages to see what is the error so that you can
troubleshoot it.

Okay I'll let you know the problem.

There is a strange DNS Problem with my server, 12.192.82.135.

Everything seems to be fine, but some domains seem to resolve and some don't.

For example, http://network-tools.com/default.asp...ost=milofi.com shows that the main domain works. http://network-tools.com/default.asp...ndthebrush.net isn't working properly despite some records showing, and others like http://network-tools.com/default.asp...umschool.co.uk just fail completely.

I can't find anything thats wrong now, either can the server host. What am I to do?

all the sites are resolving for me. Make sure your nameservers are correct.

There are no "A" records added for your sites. Make sure you add them appropriately for your sites. It should be like : <domain> IN A <IP-Address>

eg [this one is correct & already present]: yorkshiredrumschool.co.uk IN A 12.192.82.135
