Heya

Im hosting a few domains with my dns server as master, and now a friend asked me if i could be his slave dns server. But how? I've searched thru WHM but i havent figured out how to configure it to be a slave dnsserver for one domain and master for the others.

Can someone tell me how to do this?

I hope you understand what i mean, my english isnt the best

You would have to do that manually by adding a slave zone to your named.conf file. Read up on master/slave DNS configurations using BIND on the net.

I've read a few doc's now, and i think it should look like this,

zone "domain.org" IN {
type slave;
file "/var/named/domain.org.db";
masters { 0.0.0.0; };
};


0.0.0.0 = ip-to-the.master-dns-server

Can you just tell me if im right or wrong?
