    Default secondary drive, NOT backup

If I mount a secondary drive, without setting up backup config in whm, will it work as an immediate "home2" so to speak when home (primary drive) runs out of space?

Is there a special configuration I need to set for it to be a "home2" ?

    Default

You need to give it the label of home2 and check the home search string in WHM > Edit Setup. Also, it cPanel doesn't use it as a spill-over device - accounts are created on the partition with the most space.
