I've been running secondary "store and forward" mail servers for my clients quite successfully but have just one final issue to address.
It's the old problem of the secondary mx accepting mail for addresses that don't exist on the primary mx.
The solution is a script that reads all of the email addresses & forwarders from the primary servers and creates a list which exim can use on the secondary server to either accept or reject messages based on whether the recipient exists in the list.
But before I spend a lot of time/money creating such a system, I wondered if anyone has already written such a script?
I also wonder if cPanel themselves may add this feature in future releases.
I read in this thread http://forums.cpanel.net/showthread.php?t=66077 that the groundwork for clustered mail servers was already built into cPanel 11 and it may be available in version 12.
So I wonder if this new feature will handle the "checking address exists" issue?
Any thoughts?
