Default Security Issue..Can some one help

    Hi Guys,

    While running the /scripts/quicksecure

    I found these results

    Stopping portmapper: [FAILED]
    Shutting down ntpd: [FAILED]
error reading information on service identd: No such file or directory
error reading information on service lpd: No such file or directory
    Shutting down APM daemon: [FAILED]
    Stopping atd: [FAILED]
Shutting down console mouse services: [FAILED]
error reading information on service innd: No such file or directory
    Shutting down SMB services: [FAILED]
    Shutting down NMB services: [FAILED]
    Shutting down xfs: [FAILED]
    Shutting down NIS services: [FAILED]
    Stopping NFS statd: [FAILED]

    Are these normal ??

Apprently I had been facing high loads on my server and the server has gone down 5 times due to high loads on EXIM..I tried running /scripts/fixmailman but it didn't helped either.

The Exim is stopped on my server and the moment I switch it on the CPU rises to peak and brings down my server.

    Can some one help ..

    Thanks

Yes, that's normal. You should run /scripts/exim4 and reinstall exim.

    Hi Casey,

    Thanks Mate !

The problem was that a spammer have tried to abuse the server with a site running formmail

Deleted the file..and the mailqueue and the server is back to normal.
