    Default Self-Generated SSL Server Certificate?

    Hi guys,

I am about to deploy a custom PHP-based extranet application on my site

Ideally, we'd like parts of this application to be served over https in order to encrypt traffic like usercodes/passwords etc.

Would it be possible for me to generate our own SSL Server Certificates, or have you generate them?

The application is not an e-Commerce application, and it would be acceptable to us to have the small number of users we expect, to manually accept the certificate in their browsers.

    any ideas ??

generating your own will work just fine.

have whoever is root on your machine do it for you.
