Default Server Load in the Red when running WHM/cPanel on server with multiple cpus

    Hi,

Is there a problem with the server load reporting in WHM when you are running WHM/cPanel on a server with multiple processors? In this case 4 XEON cpus

    Cheers

What are the loads showing, normally with a dual processor machine you have 2-4 processors showing up to the operating system. If the load is above the number of processes then you might start having problems.

The server load is 5.8 (4)

I just wondered if this is a bug in the reporting of server load for multiple cpu servers. Maybe in the cPanel code or maybe the linux tool used behind the scenes.

No your load should be staying under 4, at 5.8 you are probably experience lag from the lack of power. You should really look into a new server or optemizations.
