    Default Server Reboots Every Hour

Server is rebooting every hour, at exactly the 40th minute into the hour. It has 5 domains added to it right now. It is not under a heavy load at all. It has a Quad Core processor with 4 gigs of memory in it.

It will do this for awhile then it just stops rebooting and runs fine, then after about a week it starts to reboot again and it does it several times.

I have ran memtest on it for over an hour without issues showing up on the memory. The hard drives are running on a 3ware 9500s raid card in a raid5 array. It seems too strange to be a hardware issue.

When the sever is back up i get:
cpsrvd failed @ Thu Nov 1 14:40:40 2007. A restart was attempted automagically.
cpsrvd failed @ Thu Nov 1 13:40:23 2007. A restart was attempted automagically.
cpsrvd failed @ Thu Nov 1 12:40:05 2007. A restart was attempted automagically.
cpsrvd failed @ Thu Nov 1 11:39:47 2007. A restart was attempted automagically.
cpsrvd failed @ Thu Nov 1 10:39:29 2007. A restart was attempted automagically.

I don't have crontabs that run at 40 minutes either. You can see crontabs here

Anyone else have suggestions to what would cause this or where to look?

I've got the same problem...did you find a solution to this?

    Thanks,

Yes but have you examined the user crons?

    /var/spool/cron

    Also for root: crontab -l

I'd check /var/log/cron at that time and see what is running. It has to be cron based, the time is too precise. If it's not cron from your machine, check you don't have something else from another machine (eg backups) logging in at that time.
