Server time resets itself (cron job?)

Hello all :-),

before posting, I did a search on this topic, but the results I found said that the problem ought to be fixed with WHM 10.x, which does not seem to be the case for me.

I'm experiencing a problem concerning the server time on serveral servers with WHM 10.x (WHM 10.6.0 cPanel 10.6.0-R4 mostly):

After having set the time zone to GMT+1, I logged in via SSH and entered the correct time using

date -s xx:xx

One day afterwards, the time has been reset to 2 hours before the real time. I tried again, one day past, it had been reset again.

Might I have misconfigured anything? Or is this a known bug?

I appreciate any help.

it will run rdate nightly, most likely your time zone is set incorrect.

How can I determinate the time zone which the server considers 'correct' (GMT+1 would be alright, judging from where most of our customers live)?
