    Default setting/permission for public_html

    Hi,

What is the correct setting/permission on public_html

    is it

    drwxr-xr-x 10 USERNAME USERNAME 4096 Oct 25 21:29 public_html/

I belive this is chmod 755

    or

    drwxr-x--- 4 USERNAME NOBODY 4096 Aug 17 00:36 public_html/

    and this is chmod 711

    Which one is it ?

    Regards,
    Garry

    web root protect = 711 user.nobody
    non web root = 755 user.user

The rest of those who have gone before us cannot steady the unrest of those to follow.
