yes, ATM it'd mean you'd have to replace windows with one of the supportet o.s.

the installation is actually pretty simple. i test-installed cpanel on my local machine (running linux mandrake) a while ago, just to see "what happens" :-) .
just mail billing@cpanel.net for a demo/trial license.
