    What is this feature for exactly, it looks like some sort of encryption key, but for what?

    It appears, for WHManager itself....
    the key for the ssl connection on port 2087.

    It is also in the reseller control panel...

    It feels a bit strange to have an enigmatic option like this... : P

    I am still clueless about the use of the key and about why it is listed here... hopefully someone will cast some light on this ... I wonder who might do that

    Hmmm,

    Wish some more information about how these systems interface with WHM was available.

    Might come in hande for thoses of us custom developping their own jobs.
