SFTP when password authentication is disabled

I have users with shell access (also enabled jailshell in WHM). If I disable password authentication for SSH, wouldn't it prevent them from using SFTP, whether through commandline or an FTP client?

Yup sure would ...... but they could genrate pass keys from cPanel and use that in the place of pass words

As of cPanel 11, this is no longer the case. Users with no shell access can still use SFTP.
