    Exclamation shared IP site binding like dedicated ip.. urgent

    I have searched for hours and can't find an answer.. if it's here please let me know, if not, please what is the solution?!

    Reseller account setup on it's own IP address with other resellers on the same IP. No problems there.

    However, if you go directly to the IP address through your browser, you get the first domain starting with the letter A coming up. Go into cpanel for that account and it shows the IP address that is being shared with all the other sites, as being DEDICATED for that one!

    How do you get it so that with a shared IP, the IP being shared does NOT come up with ANY website at all.. instead it should get the standard 'there is no site configured for this address' message. I get this with my main shared ip address, but as soon as I setup a reseller on their own IP, the first domain alphabetically under that IP will come up as the default site.

    I have been trying to find a solution to this for days. A reseller of mine recenlty lost 2 new accounts because the first website coming up on their account is an escort service site, while the new accounts were financial service businesses. They thought the temporary IP address assignment pointing to the escort service site somehow would translate to their site. Obviously they want nothing associating their business with that

    Please I urgently need a solution to this!!

    Thank you!

    Suggest that you either log a support request to cPanel directly and/or post more info here as to what solutions/troubleshooting you have tried so far.

    Thumbs up solution found

    Funny.. shortly after I posted that message I got to thinking about checking out my httpd.conf file.. What I found is that the first domain listed in the httdp.conf file is the one that will come up as the default address. All I did was go to the first one listed and in front of it I added the following line:

    <VirtualHost 1.1.1.1>
    DocumentRoot /usr/local/apache/htdocs
    </VirtualHost>

    Worked

    Hope this helps others

    Have a GREAT day!

    Just wanted to say thats a lot! That is exactly what I thought my problem was, but no matter how many times I checked I never saw that, guess I need to scroll up further next time.
