Shared SSL Solution

I did a search but was unable to find the answer to my question, so please forgive me if this has been reviewed here before.

What is the proper method for implementing a Shared server ssl?

Implement it on Main ip - https://123.123.123.123/~account/ ?
Implement it on a name - https://secure.serverdomain.com/~account/ ?

Another way that I am missing?

If you have implemented this before, would you please also briefly describe how you accomplished it through WHM and how you were able to get it to work with ~account structure.

I actually did this a few days ago. In WHM I generated a cert for secure1.nixhosting.com then I went to instantssl.com and ordered a cert for secure1.nixhosting.com . Then just pasted the certs into WHM. Also make sure you add a A record for it in the zone file. And yes it works perfect. Feel free to test at https://secure1.nixhosting.com/~awsolco
