    Default Shifting Datacenter

    Hi All!

Im about to shift a couple of cPanel servers to a datacenter closer to the office.

I can think of what needs changing when i get them installed in their comfy new home, however i'd like to double check with you guys.

SO.... I'd be greatful if you could help me draw up an action plan/check list. I'll be shifting them in the wee small hours of the morning so as to cause minimal downtime.

    Thanks

    Matt

    Default

    - first change your ns2 to the new ip and lower your TTL
    - Add new ip to your ip pool
    - move your server
    - after move change ip`s of your sites to new one (perl -pi.bak -e "s/oldip/newip/;" *.db) in the named directory
    - change your ns1 etc (resolv.conf etc) to new ip`s.

If you follow this then you should only have downtime while moving
