Simple question - Server Load

Hello,

This is one of those simple questions I've never got round to asking: (hopefully!)

Sever Load; is this based on CPU usage or other facters taken into account? (i.e. bandwidth etc)

Why, when you run 'top' in SSH do you get 3 figures for server load?
