Site suspended by root, but unsuspended by the reseller?

Hello,

site1.com belong to reseller "john" (just examples)
as root I suspeded site1.com, so I thought that no one, except root can un-suspend that site.. but today when I logged into my mailbox i thought a mail and see that the site was un-suspended by the reseller "john".

My question is.. this is normal? The reseller "john" needs to suspend/unsuspend his because he handles a small hosting company, but i dont want him to un-suspend the sites I suspeded before.

I dont know if you can understand what I mean.

Thanks.

Does the reseller account have the following option enabled under the Reseller Center:

Main >> Resellers >> Reseller Center

Account Management
Account Modification (warning: this will allow circumvention of account creation limits, give shell access unless explicitly disallowed, dedicated ips, etc)

I believe I understand what you mean. You as root are of higher rank than a reseller, so if you perform a suspension operation, a reseller (user of lower rank) should not be able to "overrule" you.

You may want to submit this as a feature request to http://bugzilla.cpanel.net and post a link to it here so others can comment, vote and add themselves as CC on it.

see how fast that feature request was answered ? that's why I love cPanel !! it doesn't take a court order to get something added or fixed.

In case anyone is looking for it, it's on the Suspend/Unsuspend an Account page when you are logged in as root.

Great, this is what i needed to know!

Thanks.

PD: anyway, a site that has been suspended by root shouldn't be able to be un-suspended by any reseller.
