In this case I think the script should not execute OLD ACCOUNTS if the script finds ifftp='0' ;
I already have a warning in old accounts.
You could add a note on the email report about the "N/A" value , to avoid any confusion.

I noticed now that the scripts works only if the
backup is on /backup folder
Since whm permits to customize this value , there should be
variable to set this parameter . For example on a server I set it to /backup2 and since it's a partition I cannot change the name to /backup
I truly hope to see a variable to setup the backup location on local server.

USERNAME is the users actual username.
Is there something I have to do to avoid this?
When I backup from the command line it works perfectly.
My cron line looks like this:

first of all, this script is great !!
i have some ideas about this script;
1 ) my server making backups daily, weekly and monthly. is it possible to backup all of these types together
2 ) incremental backup ( backing up only new or newly changed files )
3 ) mysql backups to another mysql server ( like replication )
4 ) backup to more than 1 harddisk
5 ) excluding some file extensions ( like iso, tar )
6 ) backing up additional files ( like other critical files, for example jabberd config )
... more ideas coming soon :)

How do you install this please? It seems all confusing. Also, I don't want it to remotely backup to an FTP server at the moment. I just want it to go to my /backup drive.

hello i got a odd setup i am using a ftpd on another port and i have that working ok
but when i run the backup when i get 3 files sent and the last one run i get this error
Now backing up config files

Just installed backmeup and backupwatch, and it looks like a real powerful solution! :)
Problem I found in backupwatch: In spite of specifying the backup script name in the $name variable (line 7), the script name is hard-coded as "backup" on lines 42 and 73.

Maybe this is not the perfect place to post this, but as all us.....
- We have very bad experience with diferent provider
- Server crash
- Etc
And as we now know, we must make an external backup, but that takes too much disk,
I test many "large disk hosting provider" and when the disk use gorwn the apply something in the TOS and cancel my account (the worst happend with "SurfSpeedy.com", they send a message and delete my account, they even didnt return my money).
After nearly 6 month I found a provider (www.servge.com) with 250Gb of disk space and 2100Gb of transfer !!
And best of all, they admit to use the disk space as a backup folder (even with none web pages). The price is 7.50 p/month (but you have to pay 6 month in advance).
They also have earn plans, so if you use my coupon code both (you and me) will receive 25Gb more of disk space.
In my case I make daily WHM backup (nearly 1Gb) and have some simple php script that change the files from the cpanel-backup-folder to another folder (is not, they will be overwrite).
If you want I cant send this simple scripts.
