    Question SMTP restart failed, could not find /etc/init.d/sendmail

    It's been 4 days i have receive status warning from server everyday on 03 PM:

    "SMTP restart failed, could not find /etc/init.d/sendmail"

    Everyday i have 65 emails about this status warning and the day after that i also receive 65 emails with the same issued.
    After one hours my email have no problem to send and receive.

    I already search the forum to get explanation but nothing i found.

    Please someone help me with this problem.

    Sounds like you've got something like SIM or another process monitor running on the server which hasn't been configured correctly. Sendmail does not live on a cPanel server

    Yes, i have SIM on my server. So how to configure sendmail correctly to use with SIM ?
    Because i have SIM for over 5 months and no problem with sendmail. I think after upgrade apache i have these messages.

    You don't have sendmail running on the server, the SMTP server on cPanel is Exim (though there is a symlink called sendmail, but that just links to the exim binary).

    If you need help configuring SIM, I'd suggest asking on the SIM forums over where you downloaded it from.

    I know it's a while this thread started but I was just looking and wanna post a fix.

    Just replace "sendmail" to "exim" wherever it is.
