SOAP Security & Cpanel compatibility

Hi I would like to know if there are any big security risks with the SOAP module for php
and does cpanel 11 support SOAP? As our server technicians say there are security risks and compatibility issues with SOAP but can give us an explaination and we need SOAP for our applications.

Is there maybe an alternative to SOAP other that nuSOAP as nuSOAP is extremely slow.

The SOAP module of PHP will be supported in the stage 2 release of cPanel 11 but only for PHP 5, not PHP 4.
