Solution for Web Analytics on High Traffic Website?

Hey guys. I currently run a decently high traffic website, which averages roughly 10,000,000-15,000,000 hits a month. This number could be higher, I don't have data to check it. I recently figured out that my log analysis was causing my server to hit high load times (20+) for 30-60 minutes at a time, but only when it was running the log stats for one high traffic site on my server. So, I disabled the log stats for this one website, and everything runs excellent now, no high load times. Problem is, now I don't get any stats. :/

Does anyone have a solution to getting traffic stats for a site of this caliber? Aside from purchasing a 2nd server to just run my logs (via network), are there any alternatives? Thanks for the help.
