Basiclly just turn it on and watch spam disappear from your inbox ....

You can checkout http://spamassassin.taint.org if you really want to manually modifiy the config, however you shouldn\'t have to.

Looks like a problem with your perl install. I\'ll recommend re-installing perl ASAP..

I had the same problem with that library.

I installed via layer1, and even tried re-installing perl. Finally, I agave in, and just copied the file NDBM_File.so
from another server running the same os and perl , and it worked fine.

A: "That's nothing, if you play it forward, it installs NT"

We haven\'t had any problems at all, it\'s working just fine as far as I can tell. I enabled it on an account that is plagued with spam.

All mail is still getting through for this account, it just changes the spam identified email, labeling it as SPAM:. Makes it easy to identify and send to trash can with email filter.

    All other mail is unchanged..

I upgraded / reinstalled perl on new box, getting this error when enabling spam assassin

    /usr/bin/perl: relocation error: /usr/lib/perl5/5.6.1/i686-linux/auto/NDBM_File/NDBM_File.so: undefined symbol: dbm_open

That's a post I kept from another unrelated thread:

There is now a fix for this, please allow 15 minutes for the update server to be updated (currently 12:10 pm Alaska Time)

    Run the following:

    rsync -av rsync://rsync.cpanel.net/scripts /scripts
    /scripts/killndbm

Take care to only run this on redhat 7.2 as older version of redhat still do come with the ndbm library. I think 7.2 was the first to drop it.
