Default spamassassin can't rewrite subject in cpanel 11?

I am using cpanel 11 and being told that I can't rewrite the subject of emails that are spam. Spam assassin IS adding info in the header like:

    X-Spam-Subject: [SPAM] test message
    X-Spam-Status: Yes, score=1002.4
    X-Spam-Score: 10024
    X-Spam-Bar: +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

but I don't know how to write a mail rule in outlook express to read the header items and act on them. (the subject above has [spam] added, but the regular / displayed subject does NOT include the [spam] so it doesn't get put in the spam folder.

    thanks!

In WHM -> Service Configuration -> Exim Configuration Editor, what do you have in the text field for the following setting:

SpamAssassin: Text to be added Subject line for messages marked as spam

Default SpamAssassin Can't Add Score in Subject Rewrites Anymore?

    Hello,

I've got an account with a hosting company, and I used to be able to customize the SpamAssassin Subject line rewrite to include the score (_HITS_) via cPanel. This company just upgraded to cPanel 11.23.6-RELEASE 27698 and they are now claiming that the ability to add the Score to Subject line rewrites is now gone. Is this true?

    Thanks,

    krellkraver

Default Is There a Non-Global Way to Set Rewrites with Score?

    Thanks,

You can enable the "old system" in the exim configuration editor. However it will result in a MAJOR performance decrease.

    Nick,

Thanks for the information. I'll make the suggestion and see what happens.

I don't suppose there's a way to keep the former functionality WITHOUT the big performance hit?
