spamd connection to 127.0.0.1 Failed

Most of the posts I see on this are older ones and related to RV skin. I am not using anything RV, but get the following error in exim panic log

2009-06-05 16:58:55 1MCgV5-0002Di-Bw spam acl condition: warning - spamd connection to 127.0.0.1, port 783 failed: Connection refused
2009-06-05 16:58:55 1MCgV5-0002Di-Bw spam acl condition: all spamd servers failed

Im using
cPanel 11.24.4-R36167 - WHM 11.24.2 - X 3.9
CENTOS 5.3 i686 standard

This message comes up every 5 to 10 minutes.
And we are getting tons of spam being let into the server.

Any suggestions?

You might try resetting Exim config to cPanel defaults from WHM. If you've got any customizations be sure to save those first of course.

Nope, that didnt do it. Same error and these logs are starting to get big

Try forcing an update to cPanel. According to the changelog (if I'm reading it correctly) another update has been pushed out on 5/19 after 36167 for Release. No idea if that'll help but can't hurt surely.

Googling that error brings up an unsolved group of posts from the rvskin forum. Are you using rvskin by chance?

If all else fails, cPanel support answers 24/7 and are some of the nicest guys I know around here.

The problem ended up being a buggy version of SA. even though I had forced update and all of that it was still doing it. I had Cpanel support look at it and they got it updated for me and all is fine.
