Default SSH access for one of my client's clients...

I have a reseller that has a client that wants to use psychostats & he says he needs root SSH access to use it.

Can someone tell me if giving this client root SSH access is wise. If there is a safe way to do it could you tell me step by step on how to set it up. Thank you in advance!

Bad bad bad idea. Keep root to yourself. If they can't install what they want by using user access shell or FTP, then they probably shouldn't be running it.

    Default SSH

Ok, now he tells me he can do it via user account shell access. Now what is the safest way to set that up for him in WHM?

Manage Shell -> Find User -> Enable Jailed Shell.

Thank you! I remember one of my old hosts made me fax over a copy of my drivers liscense to him. Is that a good idea to have this guy do?

What does "Manage Wheel Group Users" used for?

Thanks again for all the help!

Drivers license is just a pain in the ass for them to fax in, plus what are you going to do with it? Just verify their identity before enabling shell.

Wheel group is for granting users the ability to su to root. Not a good idea to put anyone in there.
