SSL Cert issue on install

Hello,

I have installed lots of SSL Certs, buy I have never encountered:

"You must use an ip address that is on the server. XX.XX.XX.XX is not bound.
SSL Install aborted due to error"

Can someone please explain this error and the corrective measures I need to take to fix it.

Hi Dan,

Can you make sure that the domain getting the SSL certificate installed has a dedicated [un-used/non-shared] IP address assigned ? If yes & still you get an error, I'd recommend you to re-add the IP address to the server. I've never encountered such an error, also I'd recommend you to get cPanel engineers' help you out into this..

There's also a possibility that the IP you are using is *already bound* to some other server/network in your DC. Please check this with your DC. If that's the case then:
1> Ask them to free the IP for you. You can then re-bind the IP on your server and install the SSL
2> Use another free IP on the server to install SSL
