    Default SSL Cert Problems

    Ok... so i have a hostname utopus.net, this particular web server is fatima.utopus.net... i am trying to install an SSL cert onto fatima so that users can use https://fatiam.utopus.net/~username for quick/free ssl access... HOW DO I DO THAT?! i've tried everything... see WHM wants a username and i dont want to install this on a user account, i want to install this on the main page? any ideas? i am about to try and manually edit the httpd.conf...

    Every domain that wants its own ssl cert needs to have its own IP address. Otherwise it will not work. Maybe install one for the main domain, or main IP?

    well... basically what it came down to was i had to actually go in and edit the httpd.conf file by hand to add the SSL stuff to the virtual hosts... and yes you need an IP per cert which kinda sucks cause i have at least 2 sub-domains that need certs :-) everything works now BUT one sub domain doesnt work right unless you ask for it via https:// - otherwise it just shows the main page... not sure how to fix it...

    how do you edit it to make that work? I am kind of in the same situation.
