Stats update issue

I have one user that the stats are not updating. When going to Webalizer he gets this error....

> Error: History file
> "/home/USER/tmp/awstats/awstats102002.DOMAIN.com.txt" is corrupted
> (in section VISITOR). Last line read is number 229. Correct the line,
> restore a recent backup of this file, or remove it (data for this month
> will be lost).

I also get this when running /scripts/runweblogs

The stats havent updated since Sept 2002. Any ideas on how I can fix this?
