I still see the IMAP/maildir conversion security warning after I have smoothly done the conversion.
Is this normal? Should the warning message go away?

Yes, its normal and will stay there until cPanel changes it for something different. It has no connection to your smooth install. It is a system message and is renewed or replaced when ever you start WHM.

It has been in every build since 10.8.0 build 60, according to comments made in the changelog. I haven't tried to test the patch though to see if it works, though. Has anyone else?
i only use RELEASE version so i think that i need to wait![]()
I am on 10.8.1-R4 which has the patched version and all is running fine.Originally Posted by adapter

So 10.8.1 Relase 4 has the patched UW-IMAP server? Was this ever officially announced anywhere? I read through the changelog and I'll admit it can get somewhat confusing, but I don't really see where it was mentioned.
This is not the official Change Log but cpanelnick mentioned in the forums a few times that the patch had been done to various release trees.
The first I spotted was in the edge tree here:
http://forums.cpanel.net/showthread.php?t=44984
On 15/10/05 cpanelnick mentioned a patched 'Stable' release was due a week after his post here:
maildir conversion, really have to ?
and again here:
maildir conversion, really have to ?
The Change Log has been far from adequate of late.![]()

From the Change log:
Where is says 1.8.0 build 60+, it should say 10.8.0 build 60+.10.8.0 (build 89) - BETA Tree Thu Oct 20 11:02:31 2005
Change the imap version from
2003.339-cpanel
to
2003.339p-cpanel
to indicate the security patch has been applied.
The patch has still be applied to 1.8.0 build 60+, we just show this now to
avoid confusion.
