Stopping local delivery for a domain

I have a domain that is on my CPanel server, but the customer has their mail hosted else where. The DNS is also hosted on another server. The cusotmer also has a PHP mail form on their site that when it sends mail gets delivered locally to the cpanel server. How can I disable this from happening and have it not accept mail for the domain as local mail?

Two things:
1. Change the mail A record for the client's
2. Move the clients' domain name from /etc/localdomains to /etc/remotedomains
3. Restart exim
