sub domain problems.

I'm having serious problems with setting up sub domains.

First, I set up one to be screenshots.airbanana.com. It wasn't working so I deleted it thinking I set it up wrong some how. So, when I try to go to airbanana.com/screenshots, it repeats /screenshots/ to an infinite number. Looking something like: http://www.airbanana.com/screenshots...s/screenshots/ ....etc etc.

Even when I rename the directory to screenshots2, still not having a sub domain, it went to airbanana.com/screenshots/screenshots2 !!!!

Any thoughts or solutions?

Offhand, I would say to first do some cleanup. Do you have 'root' access?

First, locate and remove all instances of directories / files (of yours) that use 'screenshot' and/or 'screenshot2'.

Then update 'locatedb' to make sure. After that, since the domain name itself seems to work OK, double-check all the settings for it to make sure everything is correct.

Finally, use a weird sub-domain (like 'deletethis') and try it. Then, (whether it works or doesn't work) double check all relevent files to make sure, things are as they should be.

It's a weird thing that's happening and I've never heard of this before. The above is just a quick 'how-to' that I would do -- if I were in your situation.
