    Default Subdomains

    Hi,

    there's a very unpretty problem on my server.

    You can forward subdomains, e.g. subdomain.mydomain.com goes to http://www.another.domain.com.

    Now if I enter subdomain.mydomain.com in my browser, the forwarding works, but in my url-field in the browser I can see this: http://www.another.domain.com

    The same with directories. There's a dir called mydomain.com/dir1/dir2/forum. Now I have a subdomain forum.mydomain.com. When I enter the subdomain forum.mydomain.com I see mydomain.com/dir1/dir2/forum in my browser.

    How to avoid this????

    THANK YOU!!

    Create a index.html file to put in the 1st domain that you want forwarded.

    In that index file place:

    <FRAMESET ROWS="*,0" FRAMEBORDER=0 BORDER=0 FRAMESPACING=0>
    <FRAME SRC="http://domain2.com/" NORESIZE>
    </FRAMESET>

    with domain2 being where you want it to go to.

    The above code should be placed in the "head" section of the html doc.

    Don't have any redirects enabled (i.e. - .htaccess redirect needs to not be there, you don't use that), just use the frame-forward, also known as URL Forward, cloaking, and stealth forwarding.

    Plesk does this all for you, but not C-Panel.

    C-Panel: How about adding this simple Frame-Forwarding?
