Subdomains with addon domains...

Hello, i am having trouble with creating a subdomain on my addon domain...

I have the site redtoline.com and forums on it that are forums.redtoline.com, i have also added an addon domain which is socom2network.com and is in the folder socom2network

The problem is, when i go to create the subdomain forums.socom2network.com is assigns it the folder of forums and not socom2network/forums

I know you can redirect with .htaccess but that doesn't work because i want it to show forums.socom2network.com and not socom2network.com/forums

This is a little confusing but if some one could help me out a would really apprciate it...the best way to sum up what i am asking is...How can i specify a certain folder for a subdomain without having it redirect and have it act like a normal subdomain

I don't think i explained this very well so if you need me to explain it better i would really apprciate it...

create the subdomain forums.yoursitename.ext FIRST

then put your forum program into that folder..


if you already have a folder name forums and then try to create that subdomain
it dont work right
