Default subdomains & parked domains not all showing in WHM

    Hey folks....

Earlier today I parked a domain on one of my accounts thru CPanel. A short while later while in WHM... I took a look at parked domains. It does not show up. (others do, but not all) Out of curiosity I decided to take a look at Sub domains. Sure enough only some are listed.

I've had this box over a year and subdomains and parked domains have been added spuratically since.

It does appear when looking in the individual CPanels for these they show up.

Why are not all reported in WHM? Is there a way to force WHM to pick all of these up? SUggestions would be appreciated!

    Here are some Tips:

    1. Sub / Parked / Add-on Domains should all be listed in /usr/local/apache/domlogs/ - this is where WHM/Cpanel will pull the information from.

    2. The above directories (before being created by WHM) must be listed in the httpd.conf file - this should be done by WHM when the account is added -- last entries are shown at the bottom of the httpd.conf file.

So start with #2 and work backwards to problem-solve. Use examples (provided within your Server) of properly working accounts to help troubleshoot.

Also note: a Parked domain must first be a valid domain (WHOIS registered) and Nameserver locations provided to Registrar. Also allow for propagation before the Parked domain will resolve.

Well this is interesting. The items missing from WHM, _DO NOT_ have any entries listed in the httpd.conf file.

How then are these sub-domains and parked domains actually working?

I can see the whole history since I got my server all of the WHM updates, etc.

I'm gonna back this up... then clean up the whole file for sure.

Once I add the missing entries in httpd.conf how do I add entries into the /usr/local/apache/domlogs/ area so this changes are reflected through WHM?

In addition will manually editing cause any other problems in WHM or CPANEL?

    Thanks again for the input.

    As a second thought...

What about fixing these through WHM and/or CPanel before manually cleaning the file.

    Should I:

Remove the parked domains through the accounts CPanel and then re-add it through WHM?

I am still investigating the Sub-domains. But in the event I don't see the sub-domains, I do not want to remove them...but do want to make sure they end up in WHM...

So back to my previous post, how do I add them to /usr/local/apache/domlogs so they show in WHM?

    Thanks!
