Default Support for APC in EasyApache

Are there plans to add APC as a PHP cache option to EasyApache? If not, can plans be made for this?

Also, is there any advantage to running multiple php cache applications such as APC and Zend or should you just run one? Thanks in advance,

    APC

I've not tested it. Just knew it was there.

I would recommend just one. Though if you must run Zend, I believe it works with APC but not eAccelerator.

If you do install APC be sure to carefully configure the apc.* options in php.ini as some of the defaults are not good.

FYI, we were troubleshooting an odd problem with segfaults on several apps and after recompiling php we realized we had installed APC through PECL a couple weeks ago, disabled it and everything was good.

You may also look into x-cache, we have had a lot of luck with it as well.
