    Default suspended.page

    Hello,

    We just upgraded to a new server and everything seems to work except our suspended page.

    When I try to access it via httpd I get 404 page not found.

    We are root and not reseller, and I have verified that

    /usr/local/apache/htdocs/suspended.page/index.html

    exists and has 755 permissions

    Have you tried suspending and account to test it?

    Hi,

    You can see the suspended page in the server by accessing the url in the format:
    http://ip.ip.ip.ip/suspended.page/

    If you want to see the page when accessing the domain/ account you have to add a directive in the .htaccess file in the below format.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    RedirectMatch .* http://ip.ip.ip.ip/suspended.page/
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    Note:
    ~~~~~~~~
    ip.ip.ip.ip -> your server's IP address
    Path of .htaccess - In the public_html folder.
    The ownership of .htacess should be user:user
    The permission should be 644
    ~~~~~~~~

    Thanks for the replies.

    I have tested it by suspending an account (that is how I first noticed it).

    Even using the IP I get a 404 error.

    http://84.40.22.32/suspended.page/

    Does easyapache3 do anything different with this? That should be the only change I'm aware of.

    thisismy.server.com/suspended.page and thisismyreseller.com/suspended.page both work, this.is.my.ip/suspended.page doesn't here for me.

    Are htaccess files working on your server otherwise?

    Yep, the .htaccess file has the correct redirect in it.

    But no matter how I attempt to access the page I get 404 error.

    Any other thoughts on this?

    The new server is running easyapache3, is there any chance /usr/local/apache/htdocs/ is not the actual documentroot, even though that is what is stated in in the http.conf?

    Do the apache logs show the request is looking in /usr/local/apache/htdocs for the document?

    Thanks for that. It allowed me to find the issue.

    What a stupid idea to share your findings.... Any idea how it would help if everybody would behave like you?

    Thanks for chastising me. I suppose that was the best use of your time.

    But since you must know, here it is (I'm sure you are on the edge of your seat with anticipation!).

    I have a leased server and my provider also supplies cpanel.

    My supplier continually denied there was an issue with this until I was able to show them the output and how apache was looking in a client directory for the suspended.page.

    After that they quickly addressed the problem.

    Feel better now?

    How I feel does definately not depend on you, but I see that you still didn't get the point how forums are working and why information should be shared...

    If you have a problem with me take it to PM.

    I'm sure the kind folks here have much better things to do other than to read your badgering of posters and posts that do not meet your expectations.

    While he may not have asked properly, you didn't quite explain the actual solution to the problem. So the next person who finds this thread will not be helped. (and I think was his point)

    After that they quickly addressed the problem.
    Means nothing really. Glad you got it sorted all the same.

    Yep, like me. I have now read this entire thread and still don't have an answer to what was the fix. Back to the search.
