Switch IP for account

How can I switch an accounts IP address without downtime for that account? I switched an account from the shared IP to a dedicated IP, but when i visited the domain it displayed my main website instead of the correct one.

P.S. I just got this IP assigned to me today

You should be able to edit /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf and modify the VirtualHost container for the domain to respond to both IP addresses, find the one for your domain:

<VirtualHost 11.22.33.44 11.22.33.45>
.
.
.
</VirtualHost>

Then restart httpd.
