Text/Code Editor Tab Spacing Problem

Hi,
I miss the older versions of cPanel. I really hate version 11 in many ways, but predominately what I hate the most in the newest version is the online editing capability that is now forced upon us.

In prior versions the online "editor" DID NOT change anything in the file. It was a simple text editor that allowed a simple quick editing fix or tweak.

No frills, no extra CRAP INCLUDED!

In this new version both the Text Editor AND the Code Editor changes all of my tab spacings from 4 spaces to 8 spaces.

Is there some way to change this behavior because it is beyond annoying.

Apologies for being a little testy I thought this was an official cPanel support site ... didn't realize that this was a bunch of busy people lending a hand from their own free time to help out.



I don't care if cPanel software wants to "colorize" my code. I JUST DO NOT WANT IT AUTO-FORMATTING IT!

Solutions anyone?

The editor you get when clicking "Edit" will not reformat text. It will also not colorize it, auto-format it or anything else.

The HTML and Code Editors do offer these capabilities.

I often use the plain editor myself to avoid formatting and form issues with my hand-coded XML.
