Default There is no valid sender in any header line

I've run into a problem with exim and I'm getting this message:
rejected after DATA: there is no valid sender in any header line

The reason for this is that the email address and name of the sender is the same:
    user@domain.com <user@domain.com>
I can't change that on the senders side, it's coming from an ecommerce application called "Cyclone" that sends alerts and notifies to the emai address you enter in the admin area.
Is there a way to allow this one email address to pass in exim.conf?

Whenever I have seen that it's usually a bug in the application. I would guess that the sendmail line in the scripts uses /usr/sbin/sendmail -t email@address.com and then sets TO: email@address.com in the email header - this is the wrong syntax and will break. If it is that, then it will have to be fixed to only have /usr/sbin/sendmail -t. there's no way around that, AFAIK, as it's a straightforward coding problem.

Upon looking further into the Cyclone program that resides on a remote Linux server using sendmail, I see that it's configured to relay mail using mail.domain.com which worked until I moved mail.domain.com to a cpanel server. Now it's trying to relay to an address on the cpanel server using the same server as the relay. I just changed the SMTP server for Cyclone to localhost and now it gets to where I need it just fine.

    Default Same problem

I had PerDesk which has been working GREAT and then stopped with the same issue. I changed to localhost changed the way it sends email. Works GREAT!

    Thanks
