    Default Too many apache childs

    Hi all,
I have a problem. Apache constantly increases amount of childs.
Right now I can see 95 apache processes, at the same time WHM's "Apache Status" show:
    Code:
4 requests currently being processed, 9 idle workers
Why so many processes/childs when no real job.
    Something wrong with my Apache?

P.S. I tried to apply MaxClients via WHM and pre_main_global.conf with no effect.

Right now I have 42 apache childs:

At the same time in Apache Status:
    Code:
    2.2 requests/sec - 20.0 kB/second - 9.1 kB/request
14 requests currently being processed, 1 idle workers

    WCCCWWKCWKCWW_.C................................................

Is it normal to have this number of childs each take 2% of memory during 2.2 req/sec ?
