Total number of accounts

I'm thinking of getting my own server and going into the hosting business. My question is how many accounts can I get on one server? Is it limited to the servers raw horsepower or is it limited to the numbers of IP address I have?

I do understand that the servers performance will always play a roll in the number of accounts. My server will be a single P-4 or a duel Zeon with a gig or 2 of ram.

There are many variables to the account limit. As a general guide, an average server can handle 100 - 200 average sites, or 1000 small sites that only use simple html pages.
