Transfer domain to addon domain

Hi all,

Wath is the best way to transfer a domian to addon domains without losing the emails / files / bd´s ?

Anyone have a clue?

There is a little bit of manual footwork to get this done ....

Make sure you backup "/home/(user)/mail" and "/home/(user)/public_html"
of the domain you want to convert into an add-on domain before starting.

You will need to delete the domain account and clear the DNS zone file
from your server.

Once that is done, you can add the domain back as an Add-On domain
under a different account.

Finally, you would restore the saved "public_html" contents to the
new user subfolder setup for the addon domain and change the
ownership of the files to the new login name for the add-on user.

You would also need to restore the saved contents of "/home/(user)/mail/(domain)"
to the "/home/(newuser)/mail" folder" of the account getting the add-on domain
and update the file permissions to match the new main user.

The rest you should be able to get going from WHM
