    Question Transfer Error (WHM) Copy an account from another server with account password

    Hi all,

    I using the option "Copy an account from another server with account password" of WHM to transfer domains of another server however am receiving the following error during the transfer:

    UNLINKED
    Checksum Matches!
    MOVE IS GOOD!
    Extracting tarball....
    gzip: stdin: unexpected end of file
    /bin/tar: Child returned status 1
    /bin/tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors
    Done
    Extracting Domain....Done
    Sorry, the copy failed. Unable to find the cpanel user file
    Extract Failed
    Invalid Account

    What is hapening?

    Corrupt tarball?

    Or are you running a grsec kernel? - I've known this cause problems.

    Try and Terminate the account on the new server and try the transfer again. I've had accounts fail 2 times in a row and then work on the 3rd time.

    Hi WebmastTroy,

    The account not exist on new server... The option to transfer creat automatic the account on new server (after transfer the files)... My problem is the transfer! The old server abort the transfer and show the message of error:

    Sounds like 1 or 2 different things (in general). 1) CPanel is failing when you copy. Normally if you try and copy it 2 or 3 different times, it'll finally work. 2) If CPanel is STILL unable to correctly tar up the files, I would contact your server provider or CPanel distributor to see if they can look at it further. Sounds like there might be a problem with the operating system being unable to correctly tar up the files without corrupting it. Also might be caused by lack of space on partition (that its trying to tar it up on).

    Like I said, it can be a few different things. Normally if you just attempt the copy a few times, it'll finally go.

    Hi

    I had this prob earlier:
    Extracting Domain....Done
    Sorry, the copy failed. Unable to find the cpanel user file
    Extract Failed
    Invalid Account

    then after readin the forum and i have decided to try again and this time i am able to xfer the acc successfully.

    Jus for those who are having this prob...might be a good idea to try again
