transfer server but diskspace is low

is that possible? i need to transfer account between server using whm transfer , but disk space usage is almost 90% full.
is there other way to transfer? ftp or rsync?

If I were in your shoes and didnt have enough space to make a backup I would zip and ftp the public_html directorys to the other server then do a full site backup and ftp that over then restore the full backup and unzip the public_html directory and put it in the public_html folder after the account is restored.
