Default Transferring Accounts from One server to another - SSL Certificates/IP?

Ok, so we are moving all of our accounts from one server to another.

I have two questions regarding SSL.

    1. Does the transfer function in WHM copy the SSL Certificates?

    2. I am assuming that it doesn't transfre the IP address assigned to those sites with certificates? That is something that probably has to be done by the datacenter? Will the certificate still transfer without the IP address?

Last Question, in regards to resellers:

Is there a way to copy the reseller privaledges when transferring accounts? It looks like we might have to go back and manually setup all of our resellers access in the Reseller Center?

The answer is no and not always. I've just successfully transferred an SSL cert between two cpanel/whm servers. I'll post a new HOW-TO thread on this.

I need an answer for this.

I have to transfer an account from one server to another. This particular account has an SSL cert from ev1servers (Geotrust QuickSSL.)

If I were to use the "Copy an account from another server" in WHM, should I have any problems? (I have root access on both servers.)

    Thanks,

We had a major server crash and we had to move accounts from one server to the other.
Everything moved perfectly via the cPanel backup feature. Those sites that had dedicated IPs and SSL, did not restore those of course, since the server had completely different IPs.
The way around this is to check which sites had SSL on the old server, assign them dedicated IPs on the new one and then use the WHM => Install a SSL Certificate and Setup the Domain

just make sure to eneter the correct IP. The WHM fetches both SSL and PrivateKey....
and no worries: ) You do it, apache restart, everything is okay.
