Default Unable to create mailing list, cpanel 11

Hi, we can't create mailing lists with cpanel 11.

    The funny error message is
    Mailing List Created
The mailing list testlist3 on XXXXXXX.XXX with password XXX was successfully created.

Unable to create testlist3 mailing list.
    /scripts/reinstallmailman did not help.

    Ideas?

    Default Back to life

I have the same trouble with cPanel 11. I thought it was a single trouble, but when i tried on another webserver with cPanel 11, it also shows the same error: "Unable to create xxx mailing list". I think it's a cPanel 11 bug that happens at updating an old version, have you find a fix for this?

I've tried to use fixmailman, fixmailmanwithsuexec, reinstallmailman.. all worked and gave me the "everything ok" flag... but I still can't create new lists... the one that are already created, seems to be working.
The permissions of the lists folder and the created mailing lists seems to be ok...
    Any ideas?

    Bump!

If it helps you in any way, i'm running WHM 11.2.0 + cPanel 11.6.0-C14823

The accounts migrated from other servers, cannot create new mailman lists, but the one that already was made before that, are still working. The accounts created on the server itself, cannot create new mailman lists and of course, they've not created any before existing.

Is there any new version of cPanel / WHM, that fixes this issue?

I'm running CENTOS, and cPanel 11 on an Intel Dual Core as I've said before..
    CENTOS Enterprise 5 x86_64 - WHM X v3.1.0

On a simple look, it seems to be a permission misconfigure, but I cannot find it..
    Any ideas on this?

    Hello,

To me it happened to me the same and I solved it with the help of the technical support of cpanel.

    Only for x86_64

    cd /usr/local/cpanel/bin
    mv cpwrap cpwrap-old
    wget http://httpupdate.cpanel.net/cpanels..._64/bin/cpwrap
    chmod 4755 cpwrap
    chattr +ai cpwrap

    And everything solved

When you have made it the test, it responds. To see if it has gone to you well

I faced the same issue and the reason was there was python-devel RPM package was not installed. Installed it by

    yum install python-devel

and now I can create and delete mailing lists on CentOS 5.

    Default Fixed yet?

I'm having this problem, too. None of the normal "fixes" worked. CentOS 5. Any update on this at all?
