Unable to ping domain name

My ISP has reinstalled my dedicated server. They have copied all the files from the backup. I am able to ping my IP address or nameservers but I am unable to ping my domain names. Whene I tried to ping wwww.<domainname>.com then I got the message "ping request could not find the host www.<domainname>.com

Can someone tell me what is wrong with my server?
